Silver Tile Adhesive

schlagen silber seramik yapıştırıcı

It is a cement-based, polymer-reinforced, highly stable adhesive mortar used for bonding tiles and ceramic coating materials.

Areas of Use

  • Indoor wall; Cement based plaster
  • Indoor floor; Cement based screed, Concrete flooring
  • Outdoor floor; Cement based screed, Concrete flooring for bonding ceramics and tiles

Product Features

  • It has excellent adhesion properties.
  • Easy to prepare and apply.
  • Does not slip in vertical applications.
  • High stability.

Surface Preparation

The application surface should be solid, dry, load-bearing, dust-free and clean, and also level. Any oil, grease, rust and paraffin residue that may reduce adherence should be thoroughly cleaned. There should be no loose particles on the surface. Damaged surfaces with a depth of 5 to 20 mm should be repaired with eile TH 60 or eile TH 70 repair mortars two days in advance. If the application surface or ambient temperature is above +25°C; the application surface should be wetted and waited until there is no free water on the surface.

To mix up

The appropriate amount of water is poured into a clean mixing container with the help of a scale. Eile POMEX Ceramic Adhesive Mortar is slowly added into this container. The material is mixed with a low-speed mixer for 3 – 5 minutes until it reaches a homogeneous consistency. The material, which is rested for 5 minutes, is mixed again for 20-30 seconds and is ready for use.

Mixing Ratio: For 25 kg of powder: 6-7.5 liters of water — For 1 kg of powder: 0.240-0.300 liters of water

Application

A 1 mm thick layer of POMEX Ceramic Adhesive Mortar is applied to the application surface with the flat side of the trowel. The material is pulled in one direction with the toothed side of the trowel to obtain a uniform thickness. In bonding ceramics or tiles with different thicknesses, it is recommended to apply 1 mm thick mortar under each ceramic or tile in order to cover the irregularities on the application surface. In order to ensure good adhesion, force should be applied to the ceramic or tiles with the help of a rubber hammer, ensuring complete contact with the adhesive mortar. The application is completed by leaving the recommended joint gap according to the appropriate ceramic or tile size. POMEX branded joint filler products should be used to fill the joint gaps left.

Points to Consider

  • When applying POMEX Ceramic Adhesive Mortar, if the ambient and surface temperatures are below +5°C or above +35°C, suitable temperatures should be waited. Application should not be done in extremely hot, rainy or windy weather.
  • A suitable humidity level is required to increase the performance of the adhesive mortar.
  • The spreading thickness should be at least 3 mm and at most 6 mm.
  • Ceramics with high water absorption should be saturated with water before application.
  • Water and new material should never be added to the mixture that has started to dry.
  • On very porous surfaces; After priming the surface with eile ASTAR E product, ceramic application should be started.
  • Joint gaps wider than 6 mm should be filled with pomex rusik fuga.
  • Impermeable and shiny surfaces should be primed with eile TU 05 or eile TU 06 product and then application should be started.
  • Joint application can be started after at least 24 hours.
  • For applications to be made on the interior and exterior facades of buildings higher than 3 m, eile POMAX 28 product should be used.
