Surface Preparation

The surface to be applied should be cleaned of dust, oil and loose particles that will reduce adherence. Surface defects should be repaired. Edges and corners should be beveled. Water should be allowed to flow towards the drains. Before application, the surface should be wetted with clean water and it should be waited until there is no water layer on the surface.

To mix up

Liquid Membrane should be diluted with water at a ratio of 1/1 and a primer coat should be applied. Attention should be paid to homogeneous distribution on the concrete surface during primer application.

Application

Liquid Membrane should be applied with a brush or roller after the primer has dried. The material can be applied in 2 or 3 layers, depending on the application. In multi-layered applications to the surface, the previous layer must be dry. The application should be one-way and the direction of application of the next layer should be perpendicular to the previous one.

Points to Consider

  • It should not be applied on surfaces that are frozen, melting or have a risk of rain or frost within 24 hours.
  • The applied material should be protected from rain and frost for the first 24 hours.
  • After the first layer is applied, the second layer should not be applied without making sure that the layer is completely dry.
  • If the surface and ambient temperature where the Liquid Membrane will be applied is below +5 °C or above +30 °C; suitable temperatures should be waited for the application.
  • Each layer thickness should not exceed 1 mm in the application.
  • In terrace applications or on surfaces that need to be walked on, mesh should be applied.
  • It is not applied against negative water pressure.
  • Full drying should be waited between layers.

Storage

Store in unopened original packaging at +5 °C – +30 °C. Keep away from direct sunlight.
