Diamond Ceramic Adhesive

Ceramic Adhesives
schlagen diamant seramik yapıştırıcı

It is a cement-based, polymer-modified ceramic adhesive mortar with reduced slipperiness, extended open retention time, and high adhesion and stability.

Areas of Use

  • Ceramic, tile, glass mosaic and similar coating materials,
  • Indoors; on walls and floors,
  • Outdoors; on the floor.

Product Features

  • Easy to prepare and apply.
  • Processing time is long.
  • Does not slip in vertical applications.
  • High adhesion properties.

Surface Preparation

The application surface should be solid, dry, load-bearing, dust-free and clean, and also level. The surface should be cleaned of residues that will reduce adherence and should not have loose particles. Damaged surfaces should be repaired with repair mortars two days in advance. If the application surface or ambient temperature is above +25°C; the application surface should be wetted and waited until there is no free water on the surface.

To mix up

The appropriate amount of water is poured into a clean mixing container with the help of a scale and the Diamant Ceramic Adhesive bag is slowly added and mixed with a low-speed mixer for 3-5 minutes to ensure a homogeneous appearance. After resting for 5 minutes, the material is mixed again for 20-30 seconds and is ready for use.

Mixing Ratio: For 25 kg of powder: 6-7.5 liters of water — For 1 kg of powder product: 0.240-0.300 liters of water

Application

A 1 mm thick layer of Diamant Ceramic Adhesive is applied to the application surface with the flat side of the trowel and the eile Diamant Ceramic Adhesive Adhesive Mortar is pulled in one direction with the toothed side of the trowel to obtain the thickness. In bonding ceramics or tiles with different thicknesses, it is recommended to apply a 1 mm thick mortar under each ceramic or tile in order to cover the irregularities on the application surface. In order to ensure good adhesion, force should be applied to the ceramic or tiles with the help of a rubber hammer to ensure complete contact with the adhesive mortar. The application is completed by leaving the recommended joint gap according to the appropriate ceramic or tile size. Schlagen branded joint filler products should be used to fill the joint gaps left.

Points to Consider

  • For application; if the ambient and surface temperature is below +5°C or above +35°C, suitable temperatures should be waited. Application should not be done in extremely hot, rainy or windy weather.
  • A suitable humidity level is required to increase the performance of the adhesive mortar.
  • The spread thickness of the Diamond Ceramic Adhesive should be min. 3 mm and max. 6 mm.
  • Ceramics with high water absorption should be saturated with water before application.
  • Water and new material should never be added to the mixture that has started to dry.
  • On very porous surfaces; After the surface is primed, ceramic application should be started.
  • After the impermeable and shiny surfaces are primed, application should be started.
  • Grout application can be started after at least 24 hours.
  • Grout gaps wider than 6 mm should be filled with fuga.
