Cement based, single component, capillary effect, crystallized waterproofing mortar resistant to negative and positive water pressure.

Surface Preparation

The application surface should be solid, load-bearing, dust-free and clean. It should be cleaned from oil, grease, rust, paint, cure and paraffin residues that will weaken the surface adherence. Loose parts on the surface should be removed and pores should be opened to increase adherence. Sections with active water leakage should be filled. Corners and edges should be chamfered. The application surface should be saturated with water one day in advance; application should be done while the concrete looks wet.

To mix up

The material is placed in a clean mixing bucket. The appropriate amount of water is added and mixed with a low-speed mixer for 3-5 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. It is rested for 3-5 minutes and mixed again for about 30 seconds, and the material is ready for application.

Mixing Ratio: For 20 kg Capillary: 6-7 liters of water – Mixing density: 1.9-2 gr/cm³

Application

The capillary is applied with a brush to a surface previously saturated with water. If the first layer has reached sufficient hardness (5-6 hours depending on the ambient temperature), the second layer is applied. Each layer should be applied perpendicular to the previous one.

Points to Consider

  • Crystalized Moisture Repair Mortar is suitable for application in +5 °C +30 °C temperature conditions. If the temperature conditions are not within the specified range; suitable temperatures should be waited for application.
  • The material should be prepared in an amount that can be consumed within 20 minutes.
  • The period to wait for the final coat application on the material should be at least 1 week.
  • Crystalized Moisture Repair Mortar becomes impermeable to water after 7 days in the positive direction and 14 days in the negative direction.
  • The applied ground should definitely be kept wet for 7 days.
  • Curing material should definitely not be applied to the ground where Crystalized Moisture Repair Mortar is applied.
  • It should not be applied on surfaces that are frozen, melting or have the risk of rain or frost within 24 hours.
